The 'Pool Stays Perfect by Edging Chelsea at the Bridge

Here's the first sign a team's running hot:

Even on days that aren't their best, they win.

Liverpool journeyed down to London Town to grab three more points and did so through two first-half goals.

Chelsea fought back in the second half but ended up on the short end of a 1-2 verdict at Stamford Bridge.

Not that Stamford Bridge. Gotta go to Yorkshire and beam back to 1066 for that one.

It didn't take long for Jürgen Klopp's crew to open the scoring.

In only the 14th minute, Mohamed Salah rolled a free-kick from the edge of the area to Trent Alexander-Arnold, who slotted a powerful strike into Kepa's top corner:

Chelsea thought they'd equalized through César Azpilicueta, but his goal was ruled out for offside.

This meant that the Reds would double their lead, coming from a set piece once again. Andrew Robertson's cross found an unmarked Roberto Firmino, who headed in past Kepa:

After the break, the 'Pool slowed  the pace and went into game management mode to nurse their two-goal lead.

Chelsea grew into the game, and it paid dividends in the 71st minute with a fantastic solo effort from Ngolo Kanté. The Frenchman started by driving down the middle, rounding Fabinho, and finding the top corner in a wonderful strike:

The Blues pushed hard for the equalizer, but they wasted a number of late chances.

On the other hand, Liverpool certainly didn't waste the day. Dudes are now good for the full 18 points from 6 matches. Life is good on Merseyside.
