This Season, Boston's Brad Marchand Shall Lick No More

Seriously, dude's got some issues.

Whether it's simply creative trolling or a deep-rooted childhood trauma, Brad Marchand continues to lick his opponents on the ice.

And please bear in mind, this licking is presumably unsolicited.

The Bruins' resident sociopath has apparently been warned several times by the league office, but he just can't help himself.

It seems there was an incident between Marchand and the Toronto Maple Leaf's Leo Komarov earlier this postseason.

Get a room, you two.

Not that we need a reason, but here's Marchand attempting to explain his behavior:

Disturbing.

But wait, there's more.

That was very recently against the Tampa Bay Lightning in this second round of the playoffs.

The unfortunate victim was Ryan Callahan.

And the rationale behind this one?

OK, then.

At this point, the Bruins were forced to intervene, as the warnings from the NHL had clearly not been heeded.

Boston coach Bruce Cassidy has spoken to Marchand about his urges, suggesting if he wants to annoy his opponents, then perhaps he could score some goals or something.

Woulda come in rather handily.

As it is, the 'Ning put paid to Marchand's fetish by eliminating Boston in five games.

Regarding Marchand, we're certainly not here to pass judgment.

Some people enjoy licking wicker furniture or lawn ornaments.

Marchand simply prefers to lick his opponents during professional hockey contests.

To each his own.
