Fenway First Pitch Proves Painful for Camera Operator

MLB first pitches frequently offer a mixed bag of entertainment.

The novelty of watching celebrities and pseudo-celebrities out of their element can be rather enjoyable.

Of course, everyone is secretly hoping something will go terribly wrong.

You know, something like this:

Just wow.

That was cancer survivor Jordan Leandre doing the honors.

Obviously, this is one courageous young man, but his aim could use some work.

In the footage, you can see catcher Mike Andrews -- a member of the 1967 Red Sox World Series team being honored -- consoling the young dude, who looked absolutely horrified.

This is all well and good, but what about the victim?

Who's putting their arm around him or rushing him to the hospital?

Incredibly, this brave soul captured a shot of the incoming pitch:

Dude didn't even flinch.

Apparently, his sense of humor was not impacted by the blow.

Meanwhile, the perpetrator of this heinous act was laughing it off, as well:

Somewhere, 50 Cent just nodded knowingly.

At least he managed to miss everyone.
