Yo, Man United ... Huddersfield? Really?

It wasn't exactly news that the Red Devils were undefeated in the Premiership coming into this match.

The news happened over the next 90 minutes.

Huddersfield Town hosted dripping-in-dosh Manchester United on a run-of-the-mill Saturday evening with management probably just content with the large gate it would bring them.

The players and coaching staff had other ideas and confirmed them by stunning everybody with a 2-1 upset.

This match had a Mancunian triumph written all over it, yet it was proof once again that any club can lose a match at any place to anybody in the Premiership.

Thus, like anyone else, the Devils are never gar way from a senseless blunder or two, which is exactly what happened in the span of five fateful first-half minutes in the first half.

Huddersfield's Aaron Mooy said thank you very much on this Juan Mata giveaway in the 28th minute:

First rule on the playground, dude, is settle the ball before you do anything else. That doesn't change even though you've got a few extra zeros on your paycheck.

As if one mix-up wasn't enough, United put another goal on a silver platter in the 33rd minute, and Hudderfield's Laurent Depoitre pounced:

That howler probably had a few patrons checking their Terriers ticket to see if this indeed was the Man United match day they were attending.

So this time, it was the vaunted United juggernaut that was on the receiving end of a lovely parting gift.

Youthful and skilled Marcos Rashford got the honor, as it were, in the 78th minute:

The next real action was in the 100th minute or however long it took the Terrier faithful to hit their local.

Back in the 1920s, Huddersfield Town became the first top-tier side to win the league three years running. Since then, only Arsenal, Liverpool, and United have matched that feat.

They're still a long way from regaining past glories, but for now, this win will do quite nicely.
