Tottenham’s Unbeaten Run Beaten

Streaks are just that.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered their first loss of any kind since a 22 Oct downer at Anderlecht in Europa League play when Newcastle stole the show very late with a 1-2 victory.

The Premiership is full of its usual surprises, and this time, it was the underachieving Magpies who stepped up.

It didn't start that way. Tottenham were the first to hit the back of the net:

Christian Erikson is Spurs' version of Mesut Özil.

Newcastle's known to be weak in set pieces. It must be contagious:

Aleksandar Mitrović must've been thinking what goes around, definitely comes around in the Premiership.

It's one thing to lose, but to lose it late is daggers:.

So, you're not supposed to stop players juggling the ball? Maybe Ayoze Pérez had garlic for lunch.

Newcastle has always had a rich history of jinxing the better team. They've clearly struck again.
