Toffee Mojo a Man City No-Go

The Premiership's defending champion Citizens could only enjoy a short span of levelness with Chelsea.

Everton dragged them down with a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.

It was an unexpected result for two teams going in opposite directions as Everton showed the spark of better days against City.

That seemed to put the match in the bag, but the Toffees snatched it back through an in-swinging Baines free kick assist.

Perhaps Naismith’s shiny hair blinded City 'keeper Joe Hart. Either that or there was a hot blonde in the second row.

This match was a good opportunity for City to show their tenacity towards the title race. So much for that. Two points dropped for City, and a point well won by the Toffees.
