The Undécima: Champs League Title Goes to Real Madrid

Two great sides. One great city.

Ironically, they had to match up in another great city to determine who hoisted the hardware in Europe's most prestigious international club competition.

Spanish was damn near matching Italian as la langue du jour on the streets of Milan.

In this day and age of bowing to television's demands, the dudes in white prevailed 5-3 on penalties after extra time couldn't decide a 1-1 stalemate.

Real Madrid threw down the gauntet on Atlético Madrid early on, as Sergio Ramos yet again haunted his intracity rivals:

Dude always seems to find a way to score in the finals.

Atlético took some time getting their act together, but eventually they broke the Real Deal defense when Yannick Carrasco lifted the whole of their cause to the sky.

He surely knows how to work the crowd.

Whenever there's a winner, there's a loser. In this particular spotfest, it was Juanfran becoming the black sheep in the herd:

Nothing like a well-placed post.

Who else but Cristiano Ronaldo would hit the winner?

That one is a Ballon d’Or and Champions League strike.

Not to mention that Chippendale's is holding on Line 2.
