The Revierderby Never Disappoints

It's one of the biggest rivalries in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund emerged from the latest renewal of its series with Schalke 04 and clinched a 3-2 derby day victory.

FC Bayern, the league's runaway leader, is cruising in the lead as usual, but Dortmund is not letting go of the chase. They're in tremendous form right now, and Schalke just turned into another one of their victims.

Shinji Kagawa gave Der BVB fans an early glimpse of what was to come:

Not the tallest dude, maybe, but definitely the quickest to the ball.

Die Königsblauen replied with a nifty passing combo of their own:

It wouldn't be a derby day if there weren't moments like that.

But Schalke well and truly need to work on defending crosses, as Dortmund used that route again to pinch one in:

Good header.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has filled Robert Lewandowski’s void quite well. Dude's also filling the void in Dortmunders' hearts:

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar wasn't done, either. He came back again:

That's the sign of a classy striker.
