The 'Pool Snores through Gunners' Fusillade

To Arsenal, their Sunday afternoon schedule had a football match on the docket.

But for whatever reason, Liverpool's showed it was time for a nap.

That's the only way to explain their sleepwalking episode in broad daylight. 

Reds 'keeper Simon Mignolet had one of those days, as it was clear he wasn't up for the occasion, either. Arsenal smelled the blood in Liverpool's back-three defense, and it was matter of time when they would strike first.

And when the time came, strike they did. Often.

It was clean TKO in the battle for a Champions League invitation next season.

It's gonna need something special for Liverpool to recover after this defeat, while Arsène Wenger has every reason to smile.

Up next for the Reds is Newcastle, which should cure what ails them, but only if they wake up.
