Spurs Still Chasing the Chelsea Windmill; Getting Closer

Tottenham lost a golden opportunity last season to hoist the Premiership's hardware, but they're nothing if not persistent.

Even against all odds..

Burnley hosted the second-placed Spurs and were converted into believers after being blanked, 0-2.

Tottenham finished third in a two horse race last season. This time around, they look determined to climb at least one notch and aren't ruling out a miracle.

Burnley, on the other hand, is fighting for survival in Premiership.

Premiership standings

Tottenham kept banging on the Burnley door and eventually knocked it down when Eric Dier scored the opener.

The Clarets did a decent impression of those dear, departed Washington Generals on that one.

Heung-Min Son has been an excellent signing for Hotspur, and he proved his worth yet again.

The dream is still alive for Tottenham, but really, that'll only last as long as Chelsea allows.
