Real Madrid's Draw Widens Gap in Title Race

Real Madrid stumbled to what was probably a title-killing draw when they were held by Valencia, 2-2.

What slender hopes they had of catching Barcelona at La Liga's summit went poof when the final whistle trilled, or whatever it is that whistles do.

Dark clouds appeared over Real's parade when Los Che netted two early goals in the first half.

Paco Alcácer gave the visitors the lead with a Booker T-like scissors kick:

But no one does it better than the king himself.

The visitors' next surprise was also from life's box of chocolates:

Now that’s one header that not even Ronaldo can hit.

A deceptive ray of sunshine appeared when Real Madrid were awarded a penalty:

So penalty specialist stepped up Ronaldo to do the honors, and ...

Misfiring twice! That kinda day.

All was not yet lost for Los Blancos, though, as Pepe got them closer to level:

Sometimes, it pays to take the low road.

The equalizer for Real came from Isco and was the best of the match:

All for naught, really, because a draw just wasn't going to cut it.

The only hope Real has now is for Barcelona to forget to show up for its final two matches.
