Real Madrid Gets Nibbled by a Minnow

They're probably still dancing in these northern Spanish streets.

That's because, down in Catalan country, the hometown heroes scored their first-ever goal against Real Madrid.

Not only that, it held up. Eibar, of all teams, came away from the experience with a 1-1 draw to show for it.

On the big-brand side of this coin, this latest development only added to the obviosity that Real's been looking rather shaky lately.

Fearless leader Zinedine Zidane claims that this is no reason to panic, but really, it'll do.

Their difficulties continue, and the points keep slipping away.

Eibar set off their countrymen's celebrations when Fran Rico -- a product of the Real Academy, no less -- scored inside of the six-minute mark:

What's up with Real’s defense in the early going? Still warm and fuzzy from all the press clippings back in their lockers?

That shocker did wake up Los Blancos deadly duo, though. Cristiano Ronaldo assisted and Gareth Bale scored:

Bale oughta think about an Olympic gold in high jumping.

Beyond that, Real couldn't find another way through Eibar’s defense and the match ended stalemate.

But there was nothing stale about Los Armeros' accomplishment.

They really know how to party up there.
