Palace Shocks Chelsea

The Premiership's unpredictability worked its magic yet again as a top tier team fell prey to a lower one.

A break from football is supposed to help teams around this time of the season, but it worked exactly the opposite for Chelsea as they were ambushed 1-2 by Crystal Palace.

The finish line is within sight. It's not the time to mess around, but this is the beauty of sport. In this case, it's also shone more rays of hope upon Tottenham Hotspur:

Premiership table

The game looked like business as usual at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea scored early through Cesc Fàbregas.

Just when everyone thought it was yet another trois points for the Blues, Wilfried Zaha thought otherwise and struck a leveler for the Eagles.

A world class goal from yet another Manchester United reject. A normal Premiership day, indeed.

If the Eagles' first goal was brilliant, then the next one from Christian Benteke is spectacular.

Finally, dude shows some composure in the field.

It's also a time for cool from the Blues. They've got a road trip to Bournemouth next, followed by another to Manchester United the week after. Then comes a crucial six-pointer with the Spurs at the Bridge.

Chelsea may well need all of that cushion they've built.
