Manchester United Goes from Sweet FA to FA Cup

The Red Devils finally have something to be happy about.

Maybe Crystal Palace was just happy to be in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium, but Manchester United had loftier ambitions than that.

However, it took extra time to secure their 2-1 triumph.

The FA Cup has had its share of underdogs' days in the sun, but this wasn't one of them.

It was damn considerate of United to bring their A Game to the world's oldest cup competition. Sorta fit the occasion. What with their ups and downs this season, that wasn't exactly a given thing.

Especially at the start. Palace was first on the board with Jason Puncheon doing the honors:

How he managed to squeeze that through is something only he knows.

United's reply, though, came quickly and in Red Devil fashion. Juan Mata finished a spectacular build-up:

That A Game is certainly on now.

The masters of late goals so many times this season, United reclaimed their rep as Jesse Lingard rocketed in the winner.

Finally, dudes have something in which they can take pride.
