Manchester United Stumbles at Newcastle

Just when you think the Red Devils have finally gained a tight grip on their season, something like this happens.

Newcastle United took the fight to their illustrious but incosistent visitors  and emerged proudly with a 1-0 upset.

It's never too early to take an urgent approach when you're only three points away from the relegation zone, and that's where the real race is gonna be in the Premiership this season.

Well? It's a relegation fight. No one said it'd be pretty.

Believe it or not, the Magpies may be perched at mid-table, but looks can be deceiving:

Believe it or not, Newcastle hadn't enjoyed collecting all three points at St James's Park since last October, but that changed today.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils just keep going from the sublime to the ridiculous this season. Toss in the fact that a José Mourinho side has never won in Geordie land, and this is the result that they get.

This match wasn't the usual one lucky goal from the underdogs to win it. Newcastle surprisingly were the better team in the field as well as on the scoreboard.

Their continuous attack finally paid off when Matt Richie converted an amazing play just after the hour:

Moral of the story for the Devils: That's what happens when something's there for the taking and you don't defend it.

And for Newcastle: Striking when it's least expected reaps dividends.

Big time.
