Magpies and Saints Are Equally Impressive

Newcastle United and Southampton were at their sparkling best on Sunday, and a final score line of 2-2 fully justified their performance.

The most entertaining clashes aren't necessarily fought by conference heavyweights but by those thrashing around in the middle of the pack.. This one was just that, an action-packed evening with dramatic goals.

The Saints got this show on the road with this amazing header:

Graziano Pellè has always delivered for Southampton.

Newcastle replied when Papiss Cissé proudly puffed up his chest. Literally.

Optimum positioning at its thrillig best, which is more than can be said for the 'keeper.

The Magpies then did a Geordie version of Real Madrid to reclaim the lead.

Great run. Awesome cross. And a chip worthy of a final round at St Andrews. And Dutchman Georgino Wijnaldum didn't even need a wedge.

The challenge was thus there for a dash of south coast flair to net the equalizer in the 79th minute:

Damn. Who needs laces? Not Shane Long.

As a matter of fact, nobody on the scoresheet did. Route One was the road less traveled all day, but that's where the paydirt was reached.

Whey Aye, dudes mates.
