Swans and Foxes Battle to a Draw

Leicester City did all it could to break down the visitors but Swansea City stood its ground.

Swans are in what's shaping up to be a cliffhanger for survival in the Premiership, and dudes clearly realize the urgency every match presents.

In this case, a road point was fair enough, as they needed to come from behind to earn this 1-1 stalemate.

Returning to Wales empty-handed would've been a near disaster.

The Foxes had been unbeaten at home against Swansea for donkey's years coming into this match, while Swansea was on a roll after defeating Arsenal and Liverpool.

So, this one looked like a wash from the start.

Leicester’s attack proved unstoppable in the early going, as Swansea had no answer for Jamie Vardy:

That's gotta be on the list of top assists at season's end. Good stuff.

As good as Leicester's attack was throughout the first half, that's all they had to show for it.

Meanwhile, the Foxes defense was leaky, and in the 53rd minute, Swans finally took full advantage. A simple free kick was converted by Federico Fernández to level it all up:

Imagine that.

Swansea's only shot on target, and it's a goal. Talk about conversion percentage!

As usual, the top of the Premiership will get all the headlines, but the dogfight to avoid relegation is where the real drama's gonna be.

With such high financial stakes on the table, it always is.
