FC Bayern Roars Back to Eliminate Juventus

Champions are forged from special stuff, and Bayern Munich is every bit of that.

Die Roten left Juventus wondering what the hell hit them in the final 45 as they stormed back in the second half of this Champions League second leg to dramatically defeat the Italian side, 4-2.

Thus, FC Bayern advances on a 6-4 aggregate.

This clash of titans was as exciting as the name. Two juggernauts duked it out for glory from end to end.

Underdogs Juvo were in the game quickly as Paul Pogba popped one in the 5th minute:

The Wunderkind couldn't have asked for a better opportunity. So he didn't.

Le Zebre could be excused for thinking they were on their way through to the next round when Juan Cuadrado netted a stylish second in the 28th minute:

Such goals can bring down the champions.

But not these champions.

Whatever Pep Guardiola told his charges at the half should be bottled and sold. Bayern emerged from the tunnel loaded for bear. Or, to be more exact, Italian zebras. Or something.

Goal machine Robert Lewandowski got the real party started in the 73rd minute:

A déjà vu for Juvo followed in time added on, as Thomas Müller scored in exactly the same manner:

So there it was, a 2-2 draw, just like the first leg. Extra time ensued.

That's when Bayern’s tenacity finally paid off, as quick goals from Thiago Alcantara and Kingsley Coman sealed the deal:

Now, that's a statement!

And an entertaining one, at that.
