Everton Are Going Downhill

Downhill.

After an impressive run against the Red Devils some weeks back, the Toffees seem to have lost their mojo.

As a result, Everton were handed a surprising 0-2 defeat by Sunderland.

The Black Cats have crossed their path.

The Toffees looked to put their poor run behind them, but wanting and doing are two very different goals.

Actually that was a case of wanting, as in Everton's marking being left wanting.

And what's up with the Premier League and deflected shots lately?

Then again, they all look like rockets in the scoresheet.

Everton had to deal with yet another unlucky goal, as Jermain Defoe was present in the right place at the right time.

What would Austin Powers say? Thigh will be done? Just a hip off the old block?

The Black Cats seem to have spent all of their luck on this one match. But given that they're only two points above the drop zone right now, it wasn't a bad time to use a couple of their nine lives.

Everton, on the other hand, have nothing to lose and nothing left to win.
