Ed Woodward is the New Red Devils God

Not long ago, Ed Woodward was at the pinnacle of Manchester United’s most-reviled list.

But shifting loyalties being what they are, this season Old Trafford will verenate him as a god.

United endured a plethora of disruption in the dressing room last season, but perhaps the foul smell is fading away. The Red Devils have signed three new players in a matter of two days, which is like Usain Bolt hitting stride at a world record pace.

Not to mention Cristiano Ronaldo:

Ed Woodward was running at such speed in the transfer market.

First on the list was Memphis Depay:

The new Ronaldo, maybe? For now, just leave it at maybe.

Seems like Luis van Gaal has only lost the Holland job but not his connections.

And then came his recent back-to-back-to-back hits:

1. Matteo Darmian

The Torino defender checked off one of his wish list items as he joined the Red Devils.

No doubt on the lad’s skills.

2. Bastian Schweinsteiger

Manchester United have never had a German playing for their first team, and when the time came, what a player they chose! The World Cup winning captain, himself.

The Devilish midfield has finally gotten its maestro.

3. Morgan Schneiderlin

While the big guns are all surrounding around another France sensation, Paul Pogba. United have sharp shooted the French unsung hero.

Ironic, though, that Brighton-born and -raised Fatboy Slim -- a part-owner of his hometown Seagulls -- has his most successful tune serving as the background for a rival South Coast club's player. Maybe it's karma that sent Schneiderlin to the West Coast.

They say lightning never strikes twice in the same place, but this summer, Old Trafford has beaten those odds four times over.
