Chelsea Knows the Season Hasn't Started Yet

The team that dominated the Premiership last season has done just the opposite in this summer's friendlies.

The Blues are tinkering at the expense of victories, which is exactly where their priorities should be.

So many promoters out there are trying to cash in on big name matchups anymore, it's often forgotten why there even are friendlies for club sides.

But no matter what the results may be, their records still stand at 0-0-0.

Chelsea was thus less than impressed as they fell to a pumped up Inter Milan after a 1-2 exhibition.

Paying customers, of course, were on the current Premiership champions in hopes of seeing something spectacular. In that light, they're fortunate the Nerazzurri showed up.

A swift boot to the patootie wouldn't have gone amiss for the game officials, too, who are clearly still shaking off a bit of rust.

A ridiculous penalty awarded to Inter handed them the lead as Stevan Jovetić converted yet again with -- what else after a lousy call? -- a bit of luck:

Manchester United’s current target Ivan Perišić showed exactly why the Red Devils are after him.

Dude lit it up with a beautiful goal:

Easy on the eye; hard on the feet.

Chelsea couldn't seem to find their way to goal, but Inter’s Geoffrey Kondogbia guided them to light:

Damn.

That was just ... damn!

Even the game's top-class strikers would be bowing in awe.

If there's ever gonna be a pre-season Puskás Award, hand it to Kongdogbia now.
