Bayern's Back in Form; Ancelotti Breathes Easier

Thomas Müller wasn't the only one miffed at being dropped again for the Champions League opener against Anderlecht,

FC Bayern's passionate following -- and possibly a board member or two -- have begun to question new manager Carlo Ancelotti's judgment.

Dude needed his crew to put on a show of force against 1. Mainz 05.

Turns out that re-inserting Müller worked wonders in Die Roten's 4-0 domination over Die Nullfünfer.

His leadership lifted Bayern to their form of old, bringing out the best in ageless Dutchman Arjen Robben and Polish rifle Robert Lewandowski:

This doesn't necessarily mean all is well in Munich, as the Bavarian dynasty virtually takes domestic dominance for granted.

That'll come back to bite them some day, perhaps sooner than they think.

It does seem that no matter what, Ancelotti will leave no later than next summer and sooner if he has any sort of perceived bad patch.

It's already a virtual certainty that no hearts will be broken in the process.

Could be that this season will be more interesting than most for the defending champions.
