The Shot Dude: Celly Time

In hockey lingo, a celly is a term used to describe the cellebration players have when a goal is scored.

Your favorite Shot Dude thought it was about time I injected  a little NHL hockey jargon into the proceedings.

I will also introduce you to a few great ideas to start you fantasy lineups.

Forwards

Vladimir TarasenkoSt. Louis ($7800) ... has not registered a point in his last five games. What gets you off the schneid quickly? Playing a team you've dominated in the past, that's what! Tarasenko is facing the Minnesota Wild, a team he's lit up for 4 goals and 7 asists in 11 career games.  Even with the current lack of scoring, dude still ranks seventh in the NHL in shots with187 through 52 games. The Blues skate home ice where their record this season is 16-9-3, while the Wild have won just 1 of their last 10 games.

Vincent TrocheckFlorida ($6400) ... has been sizzling with at least one goal each of his last four games. Trocheck amassed eight points total during that span and is up to 32 points and 103 shots in 51 games. Dude's quite streaky, so you should ride him now because, prior to this, he had no points in six straight games. With 31 wins and 67 points in the standings, the Panthers are currently the NHL's fourth-best team and will be home to Pittsburgh, which owns a losing road record at 10-11-3.

Artemi PanarinChicago ($6100) ... is coming off a three-assist game at Arizona. That gives Panarin 11 points in his last 9 games, and 50 in his first 55 NHL games. Panarin is not afraid to shoot, either, having taken 129 to date. Dude seems to benefit every night from playing alongside NHL point-leader Patrick Kane, and it just might win him the Calder Memorial Trophy. Chicago takes their slim three-point Central Division lead to Dallas to face the team that is chasing them in second.

Defensemen

Torey KrugBoston ($5600) ... has just three goals this season, but is second on the Bruins with 156 shots on goal in 50 games. Krug has an assist in two straight games and 21 total for the season. Like Tarasenko, dude has a nice history against today's foe. Boston will have home ice advantage against Buffalo, a team that Krug has burned for 3 goals and 5 assists in 11 career games.

Marc-Édouard VlasicSan José ($5500) ... has tallied an assist in three straight games, which now gives him 27 points in 47 games this season. Vlasic has been shooting more often lately, with 25 in his last 9 games (2.78 per game) after only 62 shots taken in the 38 games (1.63 per game) to begin the season. Putting pucks on net can only lead to good things, and the Sharks have acomplished good things in the standings. By winning 7 of their last 10, San José is now second in the Pacific Division and seven points back of Los Angeles.

Goaltender

Semyon VarlamovColorado ($9500) ... has played his team into playoff contention with wins in four straight and 7 of his last 9 games. That gives Varlamov 19 wins in 35 starts, with a respectable.918 save percentage. Dude's only given up one goal in each of his last four starts. Colorado now has 58 points and has recently passed both Nashville and Minnesota in the tough Central Division standings. The Avalanche will host a struggling Winnipeg squad, which has lost 7 of 10 and owns a dismal 9-14-2 record in away games.

Your favorite Shot Dude hope you enjoy a great celly tomorrow when you see your fantasy winnings.
