Dorsett defending someone's honor while he was still in Columbus

Derek Dorsett is 6-0 and weighs 190 pounds. And he beats his opponents to a pulp.

Dorsett came over to the Rangers in the Marian Gaborik blockbuster a few weeks ago, but he was an afterthought due to his ongoing recovery from a broken clavicle.

Dorsett appears very close to a return, possibly as soon as Thu 25 April, and the rest of the league should be frightened. Despite scoring just 27 goals in 280 career games, the 26-year-old winger is a force to be reckoned with. He's racked up tons of penalty minutes (727) and hits (551), and Rangers blogger Steve Zipay has referred to him as a cross between Brandon Prust and Sean Avery.

Dorsett will add more grit and toughness to an already gritty and tough Rangers team and should find himself in the middle of many bone-crunching checks and vicious melees and skirmishes throughout the playoffs.

Maybe he'll even be able to score a Hollywood actress, too.
