Alex Ovechkin's Leg Is Pretty Messed Up

Hockey can be a quintesentially brutal sport.

When the playoffs roll around after the conclusion of another infinite regular season, there is literally not one player at full strength.

Just ask Alex Ovechkin.

The Washington Capitals star endured the usual regular season rigors, and then continued to get the crap beat out of him in the playoffs.

First there was the knee injury in the first round against the Maple Leafs.

That was a targeted drone strike of a hit.

Dude did leave the ice after that one, but returned later in the game.

Of course, that brings us to the most unfortunate series against the Pittsburgh Penguins, which saw the Capitals exit the playoffs once more.

Ovechkin sustained a nasty hamstring injury in Game 3.

How nasty?

Well, have a look:

Thanks for sharing, dear.

This is but one example of how tough these bastards really are, but did we really need to see it?

Anyway, Ovechkin will now attempt to heal up in anticipation of next season's inevitable disappointment.
