Urlacher Blames Wilson for Ending His Career

We're finally hearing the real reason why former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher retired.

It wasn't nagging injuries, old age, or his break-up with Jenny McCarthy.

Nope, it was Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

Who knew?

Urlacher said that chasing the scrambling passer was the reason he had to cut his career short.

"Russell, I'm not sure if you know this or not, but you ended my career basically last year on that third down in overtime," Urlacher said on FoxSports.com.

"You were rolling out, I was trying to chase you. Trying to chase you down, I popped my hamstring and missed the last four games of the season. You ended it."

Urlacher doesn't sound too bitter now, does he? I'm sure Russell Wilson is just absolutely feeling pout-time guilty for ending a guy's career that was already on the decline.

Maybe Urlacher should be a man, get over it, and face the fact that he was probably going to be cut by the Bears soon, anyway. Wilson just saved him the embarrassment by doing his own damn job. You know, the one where he tries not to get tackled while trying to advance the ball.

Does Hallmark make cards for that?
