Unitas Family Feuding over Proposed Flick

There's a movie treatment in the works about legendary Baltimore Colts quarterback Johnny Unitas, and not everyone is pleased about it.

Seems that Johnny U's son, Joe, is shopping the idea and said he wanted Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to play Unitas in the football action scenes. That's when all hell broke loose.

The backstory starts with Unitas's grandson being no fan of Flacco. That's just for starters. Just the thought of this possibility raised his hackls, so JC Unitas went to his Facebook page and put both of the Joe's in question on blast, saying:

”My grandfather and his legacy deserves only the best, and this is not it. Has Baltimore forgotten that Trent Dilfer also won a Super Bowl while playing for Baltimore?” JC also said that Flacco was an "embarrassing choice."

He'd have to admit, though, it was a less embarrassing choice than Dilfer would have been.

But back to the plot. JC also seems to have a problem with Joe Unitas asking for funding for the movie.

“It disgusts me that one of the sons of my grandfather would put his hands out and ask for donations to make a movie based off a book that was mostly built off of non-factual events in my grandfather’s life,” he said.

“Moreover, [this would be] a movie of my grandfather conceptualized by a son who never saw my grandfather play a down of football."

You think JC is just a little bit angry? The only person he thinks should play his grandfather is the other No 18, a guy named Peyton Manning.

This family feud sounds like it would make a better movie than a movie about Unitas himself.
