TO Wants to Be a Patriot

Here is something for New England Patriot fans to worry about: Terrell Owens wants to come cause turmoil, I mean play for your team.

Yes New England fans, TO wants you!

Terrell Owens feels he can help the struggling Patriots on offense.

“Obviously, the situation with the Patriots, they are starting out with a lot of new guys,” Owens told the Boston Globe. “You never know how management is thinking, what their process is as far as bringing in veterans.

“I understand they may look at my age as an issue, but I’m not your average 39-year-old. I think if you watch me work out, I’m not really concerned about injuries or anything like that. Plus, I’ll be getting paid the vet minimum, so it’s not like I am asking for any extra incentive in my contract.”

Owens may actually have a point.

The Pats are almost dead last in the league in red zone offense, they have major injuries in the receiving corps -- although there are reports that Rob Gronkowski may play for the first time this weekend -- and it would cost them hardly anything if they signed TO.

Plus, Owens is so desperate to play that he probably wouldn't cause a lot of trouble -- if any -- for the team. If he did, Belichick would cut him immediately.

So, on the surface of it, neither side has much to lose. The only question is, will the Pats be desperate enough to take a chance on the fallen star?

TO hopes so.

Hey, if they won't sign him, may be they can re-sign Chad Johnson!

Scratch that. They'd be better off with TO.
