The Legend of Justin Tucker

We're not exactly living in the golden age of place kicking in the NFL.

Quite the opposite, in fact.

The recent increase in distance for the extra point has flummoxed many normally reliable kickers, turning what used to be an almost automatic point into a baggy-pants farce.

However, one defiant kicker remains above the fray.

His name is Justin Tucker.

Of course, this is not a recent development, as the Ravens kicker has been terrorizing the NFL with accuracy and distance since entering the league in 2012.

While the majority of his brethren flail about helplessly this season, Tucker has been perfect on both extra points and field goals.

Of his 28 field goals, eight have come from beyond 50.

The dude can ball.

And the cool part is, he knows it.

It's rather entertaining to watch a kicker nurture such a large ego, but this dude can back it up on the field.

As insane as it may seem for a specialist, Tucker is widely regarded as the Ravens MVP.

Many of his teammates would agree with this sentiment, while also understanding that Tucker's feelings of self-worth have very likely passed the legal limit.

Tucker has recently discussed kicking obscenely long field goals from distances exceeding 70 and 80 yards on several occasions.

With each successful kick, his confidence seemingly grows, as does the legend.

He shall smite us all with one mighty boot.

So it is written, so let it be done.
