The Detroit Lions Social Media Team Needs a Hobby
Apparently, it can be quite a challenge filling the hours during the NFL off-season.
This is particularly true if you happen to be an overly sensitive member of the Detroit Lions social media department.
Recently, the NFL had the temerity to predict the top 5 WR corps for the upcoming season.
And wouldn't you know it, the Lions weren't among this prestigious group.
This unprovoked attack on the Lions organization and good people of Detroit didn't go unnoticed, though.
The diligent watchdogs who appear to monitor Twitter around the clock -- just in case there's even a perceived slight against their beloved Lions -- decided this aggression wouldn't stand.
Here's their unedited scorched earth reply.
You're forgetting the only team that had two 1,000-yard WRs last year... pic.twitter.com/E7jRPhiLX7

Ah yes, the winning of hearts and minds.
It's certainly factual that Golden Tate and Marvin Jones both eclipsed 1000 yards receiving in 2017.
Why, there's even video footage of the two dudes in action.
However, even in the off-season, engaging in this type of silliness is a monumental waste of time and energy.
Of course, Bucky Brooks -- the scary talented writer of the NFL.com piece in question -- is probably enjoying the attention.
But discussing a list of rankings or predictions on any subject is just not a productive human activity.
Clearly, the real lesson here is to immediately begin spouting mindless platitudes in the general direction of the Detroit Lions, particularly in regard to the dynamic duo of Tate and Jones.
But please don't say anything negative or, even worse, ignore them altogether.
Remember, they're watching.
