Stream of Consciousness: Browns Fan Still Pissed with Art Modell
If the ghost of Art Modell felt a little damp today, there was good reason.
In a video snared by Deadspin and zinger-titled Browns Fan "Pays Respects" to Modell, an anonymous goof graces the former Browns' owner's gravesite, adorned in an Ed Reed Ravens jersey.
He then whips it off -- not out -- to unveil a Lyle Alzado No 77 he's been keeping nearest and dearest to his distended bladder. He then proceeds to take a wizz on Modell's dirt condo with the aid of a catheter borrowed from a previous Browns fan's makeover:
"You know, Art, when you ... tried to kill the Cleveland Brownie, you didn't do so good," the goof says. "The Browns fans wouldn't let you, you piece of [expletive]. I'm in rat land and I'm going to use the words you used a few years ago.
"As far as pissing on your grave, I had no choice."
With all the goodness being bestowed on C-Town of late, you'd think a fan could find it in his heart -- and his trousers -- to forgive after two decades. Not this guy. The joker emptying his YouTube account has a compelling, well thought out counter-argument:
Anybody who says it's been about 15 years, Art's dead, let it go, you know what, [expletive] you! You let it go. Done. |
Ultimately, though, the gag was on the unnamed urinator: Modell's grave was uprooted the previous evening and moved to Indianapolis.
Cleveland is now the sports capital of the world.
