Ravens' McCain Arrested Again In Decatur

To the surprise of no one, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested again this weekend, this time for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

According to reports, McClain and a group of his friends were ask to leave a park in his hometown of Decatur, Alabama. McClain refused, started cursing the police -- never advisable -- and, of course, found himself in familiar surroundings ... the sort where the door only opens from the outside.

This is the third time in two years that McClain has been arrested in Decatur. Look, I'm from Alabama, and trust me when I say Decatur is not Las Vegas. How he keeps getting arrested every other weekend in Alabama's version of Mayberry is beyond me. It takes a special kind of talent to get in trouble there, and he's got the gift.

Maybe that whole speech he gave a few weeks ago about turning over a new leaf was just a ploy to get him signed with the Ravens. Wonder how general manager Ozzie Newsome feels about all of this?

It seems to me the problem with McClain is he has no guidance in his life. Since he'll probably be suspended from the NFL for a few games, he'll have plenty of time to ponder his future. Unless, of course, he does his pondering in Decatur.

Maybe the Ravens should be calling Ray Lewis right about ... now. Lewis may be the father figure McClain needs to help straighten out his life. Maybe someone who's 'been there' would have something useful to say about not going back.
