Pouncey Brothers In Trouble for Wearing 'Free Hernandez' Hats
Aaron Hernandez may have a lot of detractors, but the Pouncey brothers aren't among them.
Maurkice and Mike Pouncey, who used to play with Hernandez at the University of Florida, were seen wearing hats that said "Free Hernandez".
Naturally, as these things tend to do, the pictures surfaced online, and now the two brothers find themselves in a possible sport of bother with the NFL.
Hernandez is facing murder charges, and -- believe it or not -- the NFL is doing everything it can to distance itself from the controversy. So my guess is, sensing he and his brother could be facing suspension, Maurkice Pouncey took to Twitter to apologize.
"I fully recognize the seriousness of the situation involving my former teammate, and I regret that my actions appear to make light of that serious situation," Maurkice Pouncey of the Pittsburgh Steelers wrote on Twitter.
These guys have a right to feel the way they feel and express their opinion, but freedom of expression does not mean freedom from consequences.
