Kaepernick Being Investigated for Sexual Assault

A new week, another rape allegation from the NFL's rank and file.

This time it's from one of the league's biggest stars.

TMZ is reporting that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for sexual assault in Miami:

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for a possible sexual assault at a hotel in Miami, Florida … law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports.

We’re told the alleged incident took place at the Viceroy Hotel in Miami earlier this month.

Our sources tell us … the investigation is in its “beginning stages” and no charges have been filed against anyone at this point.

The 49ers are aware of what's going on and are like the rest of us, waiting to hear what the Miami Police Department has to say before making any moves.

But this would be a disaster if any of this is true. Makes you wonder if the 49ers will now be looking to draft a quarterback in May, just in case.

And ask yourself, what's he thinking? Kaepernick himself has proven how easy it is for a millionaire NFL quarterback to pull from the top shelf, as evidenced by this report prior to the Niners' last Super Bowl appearance:

Either way, this not good for the NFL, and Roger Goodell needs to act now! This is not the time to bury his head and pretend none of this is happening. He has been doing enough of that already. Yes, the league and team will have to wait for the official investigation to conclude, but that shouldn't stop them from adding to the awareness programs, like including repercussions for even getting into situations that can lead to these incidents.

The NFL looks as if it's out of control, and it's time for their leader to address these issues more definitively.
