Internet Hoax Hits NFL Players

First it was Julio Jones that was targeted.

Now, it's Drew Brees.

Apparently, someone's going around the internet starting rumors that NFL stars have been hurt in car accidents and both legs were broken.

Both Jones and Brees had to come out with statements via Twitter declaring that they were fine and that this was a  hoax.

Here is Julio Jones statement:

"Thanks to fam & fans. I'm fine -- no accident, no broken legs!" #internethoax

Brees made a similar statement Friday night.

"I am fine. Not sure where the car accident story came from. It is not true. I appreciate everyone’s concern but I am all good!"

Both rumors were started by a fake website that apparently sodesperate for publicity that they start rumors just to be recognized.

Then again, it could be fans of both the Saints and Falcons playing  tricks on each other because of the rivalry.

If you've ever seen that Direct TV commercial featuring Saints and Falcons fans, I don't think it's far from the truth.
