Gun Found in Double Homicide Linked to Hernandez

The Massachusetts police may have gotten a break in at least one of the Aaron Hernandez's cases.

Springfield police said they may have found the gun that could link Hernandez to a double-homicide that took place last summer.

The gun that may have been used in the crime was discovered in the car of Jailene Diaz-Ramos of Bristol, Connecticut after she was involved in an car accident  back in June. Police are not sure what connection she has to Hernandez, but she told police the gun was among the stuff left in her car after she gave a ride to some “football players” whose names she didn’t know.

Riiiight! She didn't know them, yet she gave them a ride. OK.

Ballistics tests show the gun is the same one used in July 2012, when Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado were fatally shot outside a Boston club, according to the CBS Springfield affiliate, CBS3.

This is the first real piece of evidence found that would link Hernandez to any of the murder cases and is a huge breakthrough for at least this case.

Police are still trying to find the gun associated with the death of Ordin Lloyd and suspect it may have been hidden by Hernandez's girlfriend.
