Former Raider McClain: The Devil Made Me Do It

You hear it as a old punch line but not in real life.

"The Devil made me do it."

Former Alabama and Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain doesn't blame himself or his old friends for the reason he got in trouble a few years ago.

No, he blames Satan.

“As a kid and young adult you make mistakes and I have made some,” he said. "I have tried to do good, but sometimes the devil wins."

McClain has had several arrests since 2011 on different charges, mainly involvling guns, which basically explains why he is no longer a Raider.

You know it's bad when even the Raiders don't want you on their team anymore.

But according to McClain, he has calmed down considerably since then. Now, he credits his wife -- not God -- for his new attitude.

“When you come into some money, some people think you owe them and they want some of your money, but I tried to always stay true to who I am,” McClain said. “My wife has completely changed me. She’s made me mellow, softer."

When asked to comment on McClain's accusations, the devil had no comment.
