Dupree's Vicious Hit on Matt Moore Will Cost Him Dosh

The Miami Dolphins absorbed a rather sound beating in Pittsburgh last weekend.

However, that game will be remembered by many as the day Matt Moore got blown up.

With the Dolphins already down by 17 points midway through the second quarter, Moore scrambled to his right and was absolutely destroyed by Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree.

There should be a disclaimer attached to this footage, so please look away if you're averse to excessive violence:

Jim Nantz probably summed it up best when he yelled, "Oh my goodness" immediately after contact.

For this international war crime of a hit, Dupree has been fined $18,231 by the league office.

This hit calls to mind the dichotomy of the NFL.

While it completely encapsulates the brutality of professional football, it's also sorta fun to watch in a perverse kinda way.

Let's all take a moment to reflect on these conflicting feelings.

There, that's better.

Arguably, the most remarkable thing about the hit was Moore returning to the game after sitting out only the one required play.

Of course, this raises many questions about the concussion protocol and how our teal-clad hero could have possibly been cleared so quickly.

Moore has plenty of time to recover now that the Dolphins have been eliminated, but we can all agree that this is one tough dude.

Perhaps Moore should find a mantra to help him cope with any lingering anger over the hit.

Unfortunately, Serenity Now and Hoochie Mama have been taken.
