Dick Stockton Confuses Denver Pro Sports Franchises on the Air

Broadcasting a live sporting event can be rife with peril, particularly if you happen to be 75 years old.

Such is the dilemna for Dick Stockton.

The really longtime FOX Sports football announcer was assigned to a game between the Rams and Broncos in Denver this past Sunday, but had a bit of a rough patch at the beginning of the broadcast.

Please be kind to Dick, he knows not what he says.

 

Oh boy, that's so not good.

 

Yes, the veteran announcer -- having a senior moment -- absolutely confused the Denver Broncos with the Denver Nuggets.

You've got to admire the way Stockton ran full speed into this wall, practically shouting the part about the NBA Nuggets.

He reallly leaned into that one.

 

To his credit, OG didn't make any references to the Clippers, but perhaps Dick was having NBA on CBS flashbacks.

 

Look at those futuristic graphics.

In case anyone's wondering, the NFL Denver Broncos fell, 23-20, to the NFL Los Angeles Rams.
