Bruce Arians Used to Drink Paint as a Child

Bruce Arians is one fascinating individual.

The Arizona Cardinals front man is widely considered one of the more eccentric head coaches in the NFL.

In an apparent effort to secure this distinction, Arians continues to reveal all sorts of fun facts about himself.

You know, like how he used to drink paint when he was a kid.

Actually, it wasn't a regular thing, but still.

Bruce Arians said on Sirius today that he had to get his stomach pumped twice when he was younger from drinking paint. That's something.

That fact that Arians decided to try it for a second time after the whole stomach-pumping episode is borderline disturbing.

Anyway, there was a perfectly good reason for young master Bruce to willingly consume toxic chemicals.

Bruce Arians believed as a kid that drinking paint made him harder to tackle in neighborhood football games so he did exactly that. Amazing.

It all makes sense now.

Arians seems like good people -- even if a bit emotional at times -- but let's hope those pain- drinking problems are a thing of the past.
