Brock Osweiler Gets Lasered in Mexico City

Football at the professional level is ridiculously challenging, even under ideal conditions.

The Monday night throwdown between the Texans and Raiders in Mexico City didn't exactly qualify as such.

A number of players reported being menaced by a green laser pointer from the stands.

It's unclear if the culprit had a specific agenda, but Houston Texans QB Brock Osweiler appeared to be the primary target, much to his chagrin.

That's messed up.

If these green laser strikes were being strategically employed, then that was some impressive marksmanship, as Osweiler was being brutalized by the green avenger.

The much maligned QB has experienced a not-so-pleasant first year as a Texan, with his sporadic play and inflated contract being easy fodder for fans and media alike.

The very last thing Osweiler needs at this point is some trigger-happy goof shining a green light in his eyes while he's attempting to negotiate a pass rush and throw the ball downfield.

Osweiler acknowledged afterwards that it was an issue during the game, but he'd probably rather go to the local planetarium for the Pink Floyd laser light show than deal with that nonsense during a game.

At least the menace wasn't red.
