Bill Belichick vs. Technology

The New England Patriots scored a quality road win on Sunday, defeating the Bills 37-22 in Buffalo.

However, this development did not substantially improve the mood of Bill Belichick. In fact, at the post-game press conference, the hooded one engaged in some spirited hand-to-hand combat with a microphone.

The three-time Super Bowl winning head coach approached the podium and immediately began struggling to comprehend the intricacies of a device he has operated literally thousands of times.

Have a gander at this befuddled fellow:

As you can see, the mike and accompanying stand were simply not cooperating. The cantankerous Belichick, resigned to his fate, eventually muttered “stupid thing” to the inanimate object, and rested it gently on the podium.

Belichick pressers have provided a seemingly unending source of joy and entertainment this season. Of course, Belichick recently treated us to the “We’re on to Cincinnati” festival of laughs, followed up this week by his own personal 2001:  A Space Odyssey.

Hoodie can flat out coach, but the only thing more consistent than the New England Patriots winning football games is Belichick’s disdain for the media and all of the requisite minutiae.

Win or lose, there should be more quality entertainment coming soon to a postgame press conference near you.
