Ben McAdoo Resurfaces to Talk Some Football

The Ben McAdoo reign of terror didn't even last two years in New York.

While this period of time probably felt much longer for Giants enthusiasts, those of us who appreciate unconventional methodology desperately miss the former coach.

Well, fear not, because the fashion forward McAdoo is back.

Of course, dude's currently unemployed, but that sad reality won't keep him from going on the record about his former team, along with the rest of the NFC East.

Big Mac appears to be engaging in some revisionist history, claiming that the new course the Giants are navigating under his replacement -- Pat Shurmer -- is precisely the direction he had in mind all along.

In addition, he's predicting an NFC East title for the G-men in 2018, a declaration that no doubt inspires confidence, considering the source.

McAdoo crammed quite a bit of madness into his not-quite-two seasons, applying his special brand of crazy with impunity.

Of course, who can forget the Eli Manning debacle:

Well, jeepers, coach. Thanks for the support.

Not too long after that public spanking of his veteran slinger, McAdoo decided it'd be prudent to bench Eli in favor of the endlessly mediocre Geno Smith, thus ending Manning's streak of 210 consecutive starts.

Michael Rapaport just might have a point.

This gifted football mind also attempted something he termed cross-coachinga concept that involved players taking different positional meetings in training camp.

This bold strategy produced a 3-13 record, with McAdoo and GM Jerry Reese being asked to leave the building after 12 games.

The Giants were so desperate to move on that they're paying McAdoo not to coach their team this season, so he will unfortunately not be patrolling an NFL sideline this year.

After what went down in New York, it's highly unlikely that this dude will ever be handed the keys to an NFL franchise again.

However, he can still hopefully do some damage as a coordinator again in 2019.
