Bears Decal Knocked Right Off the Helmet

The Chicago Bears have been pretty miserable for most of this season.

Their 3-11 record and lethargic play have alienated many fans and invited scorn from the media.

Apparently, it's gotten so bad, even the equipment is trying to detach itself from the team.

This past Sunday, the Bears lost, 30-27, at home to the Green Bay Packers.

At one point in the second quarter, Bears running back Ka'Deem Carey took a handoff inside the 10-yard line and got lit up by Packers linebacker Joe Thomas.

This was no ordinary hit, though.

As you can see, the Chicago 'C' decided to flee the scene, and proceeded to flutter away like a wounded butterfly.

Clearly, this amusing occurrence had something to do with the bitter, sub-zero degree temperatures in Chicago last Sunday.

However, it's much more fun to speculate that the violent helmet-to-helmet collision and relentless degradation of being a Chicago Bear left the decal no alternative but to seek more pleasant accommodations.

But alas, there's no escape to be found.

The Bears are completely doomed, at least for the time being, so the equipment will just have to accept this sad reality, as the players and coaches already have.

Happy Holidays, everyone!
