Another NFL Draft Hype Perspective: Wasted Days and Wasted Nights

Thank the Lord above! The 2013 NFL draft is here, and I pray that it ends quickly.

I know this is  a tough time for football fans. Withdrawal pangs are profuse. And what is the only option for them right now? So-called experts telling us who will draft whom and with what pick in what round.

Fact of the matter is that the experts have no clue who is going to be drafted when and by whom. All we hear from them, time after time when they've been proven wrong, that the teams made a mistake and should have listened to them. Yeah, right. If they're so clairvoyant, why hasn't someone hired them?

You know when the best time to see who got drafted and where is?  When the damn draft is over!  No guessing.  No predicting.  No hunches. No inside sources. No hear-say. I can find out for myself if I'm so interested. That's the convenience of cyberspace!

But then, if all that programing went out the window, we'd be left with Norwegian television.

We'd have to listen to our wives and girlfriends. We'd have to help the kids with their homework. We'd have to talk about Shakespearean classics over beer and nachos. We'd have to actually realize that there is no simple solution to political problems.

We might also get more 30-for-30 marathons. It could be worse.
