Angry White Dude: What's the Difference?

Maybe this isn't a news flash, but wow.

We live in a very strange world these days.

Lotsa finger pointing and tons of excuses and reasons why it's certainly nobody's fault for anything and everything that ever happens.

The media is consumed with the fact that Colin Kaepernick is still out of the NFL.

It makes for easy TV. The white guys tells you why Colin is not in the league and the black guy tells you why the Man is keeping Kaepernick down.

What's the real reason this dude's not working anywhere?

  • Because he's black?
  • Because he won't stand for the national anthem?
  • Because he's not good enough?

I'm not really sure. Let's take a different approach.

Why is another former starting QB not in the NFL?

  • Because he's white?
  • Because he's an outspoken Christian?
  • Because he's not good  enough?

How many good seasons has Kaepernick had in the NFL? By my count: two.

How many has Tim Tebow had? Let's see, here: one.

Kaepernick led his team to a Super Bowl appearance. Tebow led his team to an AFC title game. They both lost!

These two gentlemen have much in common.

  • They can both run.
  • All they did was win and did a decent job of leading their teams.

Yet, all we hear about is Kaepernick and why the NFL won't give him a job. How come Timmy can't get a job in the NFL?

What's the difference between these two former starting slinger?

  • Are they both oppressed? One for not standing and one for being totally committed to God?
  • Would the Browns be better with either of them at QB?

You bet your ass they'd be.

Bottom line: The suits in the NFL must not think either of these guys can play at the highest level anymore.

Why?

Because rapists, murderers, felons, wife beaters, drug users, gamblers, drunks, pill takers, and dog fighters are all allowed to play in the NFL if someone thinks they can help them win.

If it's such an injustice that black Colin Kaepernick is out of the NFL, I contend that it's just has big of an injustice that white Tim Tebow is out of the NFL.

What's the difference?
