Up the Ante on the Aggies

There's an intra-state rivalry between BYU and Utah State tonight that oddsmakers feel will be relatively close.
Bovada, for example, has Utah State listed as a six-point favorite.
I see this magin being double figures, at least, as there are many signs pointing the Aggies' way.
First of all, Utah State is 4-1 against the spread this season, while BYU is only 2-2. Utah State also covered in their only home game -- that could be bet on, anyway -- while BYU is 0-1 covering on the road.
Also, this is a game Utah State really gets up for. Just look at the Bovada data tool on the Home page and you'll see that, while BYU has won nine of the last ten straight up, Utah State has covered in eight of those, many when the Aggies didn't have a particularly strong team.
They're strong now.
Utah State is putting up 40 points a game while allowing just 17. So understand they are normally playing with a lead when teams are throwing the ball left and right. Now, return back to the data tool and take a look at how many passing yards they are allowong: a stingy 188.
BYU isn't equipped to play catch up to begin with, and with Utah State's stifling pass defense, it looks to be a long night for the visiting Cougars.
I think Utah State is a big play tonight ,and there won't be much sweating over them covering the number.
My pick: Utah State -6
Result ... BYU 31 Utah State 14 Cougars cover
(*Note: Aggie QB Chuckie Keeton left the game with 4:06 in the first quarter with a knee injury and didn't return.)
