Crimson Tide Rolls through the White House

Political opinions aside, visiting the White House for most is a once in a lifetime experience.

Not all of us get a chance to travel or vacation and visit national treasures.

These opportunities shouldn't be scorned or publicized.

It wasn't a big deal the other times Nick Saban has taken a championship team there, and it shouldn't this time. In fact, it would be kind of weird if they didn't.

The 'Bama athletes were filled with excitement and smiles for pictures with the President.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions -- a former Alabama senator -- was in attendance for the visit, as well, because why not?

While some players don't necessarily agree with Trump's politics and have said so on their social media accounts, they never thought about boycotting or protesting the visit. Instead, these student-athletes are showing the world they're growing into mature adults who can disagree but still show respect and decorum.

Besides, they've earned this visit.

From a player's perspective, the chance to travel to the nation's capital -- a free trip with teammates -- to celebrate an outstanding achievement on the national stage is greater than any drawback.

The players will cherish the moment, and if they're underclassmen, they've got a chance to attend again.

After all, they're playing for Alabama.
