Seahawks; Turning it up to 12!

It's well known that the Seattle Seahawks stole the 12th man idea from the Texas A&M Aggies.

Now they're trying to set a world record for "loudest crowd roar at a sports stadium".

The group, Volume 12, has planned to stage the attempt on 15 Sep, Seattle's home opener against fellow NFC West powerhouse San Francisco 49ers.

The last time the fans at CenturyLink Field had a documented roar was the infamous Marshawn Lynch playoff touchdown run against the reigning Super Bowl Champion New Oreleans Saints.

It is anticipated that 60,000 fans will be at the game.

While this promotion has all the trappings of a Spinal Tap rip-off -- which seems to be a recurring theme with Seahawks traditions -- perhaps it's tailor-made for a sponsorship from one of the area's largest companies.

Clearly, Microsoft would make certain everything is done right.
