Saban: Tide Compliance to Investigate Fluker Tweets

Since Nick Saban has been at Alabama, he has made it a point to try to keep his program away from the NCAA.

So far, it has worked.

The Tide, to this point, has managed to keep itself clean despite hiccups here and there. Now, they're hoping the DJ Fluker tweet was just a high-tech burp. Just in case it wasn't, Saban and the university's compliance division are looking into the situation.

“Absolutely,” Saban said when asked if the school was looking into this. “We’re trying to do things the right way.”

Saban says that he makes sure his players know the rules when it comes to compliance and agents.

“We’ve tried to do everything we can to educate our players to do things the right way when it comes to selecting an agent or being involved in the NFL Draft.”

Meanwhile, Fluker still denies it was he who sent the tweet saying "They know it's not me," he said. "They look at my Twitter and see it's all Bible verses or motivational tweets. That's about it."

So was it the same perps who were motivated to hack into the AP's Twitter account to say President Obama was injured in an attack?

Somehow, a claim of Fluker taking under-the-table dosh at 'Bama just wouldn't rattle the markets as much. And rattling the NCAA investigators is comparable to observing a glacier in the making.

Saban and the Tide geeks have time to take a long, long look.
